Our Part P course is presented to ensure that candidates are given all the knowledge they need to take and successfully complete their electrical part p assessments, enabling them to carry out electrical work in domestic premises, in accordance with the building regulations. The qualification is split into three components: Parts B & C, which are suitable for gas fitters, kitchen or bathroom fitters, etc. These are done in one 5-day block. The third component, Part A is for more extensive work such as rewiring and can only be done after the completion of Parts B&C. The three parts can be combined as one 7-day course, or by adding the Part A in a 2-day top up to B&C at a later date.
The 5 day part B & C covers:
- Component Exchange
- Central Heating Wiring
- Power Wiring (Power Level C)
- Power Wiring (Power Level B)
- Lighting Circuits Installation and replacement of lighting circuits.
and includes the replacement of a lighting unit and the installation of a new single light circuit, power circuits for cookers, immersion heaters, electric showers, replacing power fittings or adding new spurs. The course also covers inspection and testing for the installation of central heating systems. |
