The current legislation in England and Wales states, that from 1 April 2005, all Gas-fired boiler installations in new or existing properties, must be condensing boilers (rated SEDBUK Band A or B). SEDBUK - Seasonal Efficiency of Domestic Boilers in the UK is the preferred measure of the efficiency of a boiler installed in typical domestic conditions, and is used in SAP assessments and the building regulations. Although SEDBUK is expressed as a percentage, an A to G scale of percentage bands has also been defined this is much the same as you would see on a washing machine.

Certificate in Energy Efficiency for Domestic Heating

The Logic Certification/IDHEE Energy Efficiency for Domestic Heating Certificate is for the professional heating installer who works in domestic properties. This Energy Efficiency for Domestic Heating training course will prepare you for "self certification" as required  by the "Part L" Building Regulations which came into operation in April 06.
